College GameDay Fun Facts:

  • This marks the 300th GameDay road show with Notre Dame hosting the first one on November 13, 1993.
  • Temple will be the 66th different school to host the show with the previous 65 going 40-25 in their debut home game.
  • Temple is the 82nd different team to be represented at a GameDay site game.
  • Corso has never picked had a headgear selection involving Temple – and if he surprisingly goes with the double-digit underdog – it will be the 54th different mascot head he has donned.
  • This is the second GameDay road show on Halloween. In 2009, the show was in Eugene on Halloween for the Ducks 47-20 win over USC.
  • This is the second time the show has been to Philadelphia (November 2002 for Harvard/Penn game at Franklin Field).
  • Corso is just 2-6 in headgear picks this year and a loss would mean it’s the first time he has had two separate three-game losing streaks in the first nine weeks of the season. 2002 was the only other time Corso was 2-6 or worse through eight headgear picks. And that is also the only time he has been 2-7 or worse through nine headgear picks (was 1-8 in 2002).
  • This is the 27th time GameDay has originated from a Notre Dame game. That ranks sixth on the appearance list behind Alabama (34), Florida (34), Ohio State (33), Florida State (31) and Oklahoma (29).
  • Corso is 4-3 in headgear picks when picking Notre Dame (lost three straight) and is 9-5 when picking against the Irish. Lee picked the Irish earlier this year at Clemson when they lost 24-22.

A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
