Squirrel causes brief delay during Packers-Vikings game

MINNEAPOLIS -- In the final game that the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers are scheduled to play at TCF Bank Stadium -- the home of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers -- the contest was delayed in the first quarter by a different kind of rodent.

Before the Packers’ first drive of the game, a squirrel ran on the field, causing a brief delay while a Vikings official chased it to the sideline.

The Packers drove for a field goal after the delay to take a 3-0 lead.
