Would Detroit Lions rather face 'Jurassic Park' or 'Snakes on a Plane'?

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Unrealistic situations are part of catastrophe movies all the time.

From "Godzilla" to "King Kong" to "Independence Day," it’s been a staple of the American cinema as long as there have been movies.

In that vein -- and in a suggested question from Twitter follower @ksuamanda -- we put the Detroit Lions players in an interesting predicament this week.

Which unbelievable movie situation would they rather be in -- “Jurassic Park” or “Snakes on a Plane”? Here, as always, are their answers, along with how they would get out of their particular situation for this week’s Lions Question of the Week.

DE Darryl Tapp: "Jurassic Park." I’ve got more area to maneuver. I may not make it, but I feel like I have a better chance rather than being confined on the plane with a bunch of snakes.

K Matt Prater: "Snakes on a Plane," because I’m not afraid of snakes. Dinosaurs, they’ll just kill you so easily. To be honest, I’ve never seen ["Snakes on a Plane"], but I’m just not afraid of snakes, so I’d have no problem killing them.

CB Darius Slay: "Jurassic Park." I just know animals. I just feel like I’m in a movie with a bunch of dinosaurs, a dinosaur might have to be a sneak attack to come get me. If I see one, like, the crazy people in the movie be screaming first. No. Run. Run, you screaming, wasting time. Snakes, they come anywhere. They come in different kind of sizes, and the smallest one can kill you. At least I can hear the big ones coming, I can hear them. Dinosaurs don’t keep quiet, there’s no sneak attacks. They come to get you. I ain’t saying I can outrun a dinosaur, but there are some dinosaurs I can get away from. You know, I might try to climb up into a tree. A snake, he can come and politely climb up into the tree with me. The snakes, they on a whole other level, man. Can’t mess with snakes. A snake can eat you all peaceful and slow. If I’m going to die, I want to die fast. The dinosaur can eat me in one bite. A snake will eat me politely. I’m going to hear my bones crush. He might poison me, so I’m going to die slow just looking at the snake.

TE Brandon Pettigrew: I can handle "Jurassic." If I’m going to go down, at least I’m going to go down by a big guy. I’m not going to go down by no little snake. I’ve never seen "Snakes on a Plane," though.

S James Ihedigbo: "Jurassic Park." I can count on my athleticism to get away. "Snakes on a Plane," you’re on the plane, you’re not getting anywhere no matter where you hide, there’s going to be some snakes. "Jurassic Park," I can count on the fact that I can outrun 80 percent to 90 percent of the people there, so I have a chance to get away.

OT Cornelius Lucas: "Jurassic Park." You can’t get off the plane. The plane’s in the air. The only way you get out is you jumping off and dying. I’d rather take my chances with being in "Jurassic Park," hiding underneath some stuff. Hide. You can’t run on a plane. Where you gonna go? "Jurassic Park," no questions asked. And I have a certain fear of snakes and being locked in with them, so ...

WR TJ Jones: "Jurassic Park." I’d get out the same way they got out. You just survive until rescue comes. But you in "Snakes on a Plane," there’s only one way out, and they don’t have parachutes on those commercial flights. You just gonna die like most of them did. "Jurassic," you can dig a hole, you can do something. "Snakes on a Plane?" Noooo, not today. Nuh-uh.
