Washington head coach Chris Petersen said Tuesday there are no updates on quarterback Jake Browning, who injured his throwing shoulder in last week's 26-20 loss to Oregon.

The Seattle Times reported Monday that Browning was “day to day.” During Tuesday’s Pac-12 coach's teleconference, Petersen said nothing has changed.

K.J. Carta-Samuels replaced Browning on Washington’s final drive but threw an interception. Per the Times report, Carta-Samuels had earned the backup spot with strong play in recent practices. On the most recent Washington depth chart, Carta-Samuels and Jeff Lindquist are listed as having an “or” between them, with Browning listed as the starter.

“We’re still practicing,” Petersen said Tuesday. “It’s certainly one of those deals where we’ll have it figured out at the end of the week. Every day matters. All of the quarterbacks are getting reps right now, and we’ll figure out where we are after Thursday's practice and make our decisions."
