Cleveland High School Girls' Basketball Game Results In 108-1 Final Score

There are lopsided scores, and then there are 107-point margins of victory.

That is not a typo.

On Wednesday night in Cleveland, Gilmour High School beat Northeast Ohio College Prep 108-1 in a Division III North Ridgeville sectional semifinal. If you don't believe me, and I would totally understand that, please cast your eyes below to a picture of the scoreboard from the end of the game.

According to Cleveland.com, Northeast Ohio College Prep went 0-for-28 from the field and 1-for-4 from the foul line. Gilmour coach Bob Beutel insisted his team did not deliberately try to run up the score and that he played several junior varsity players starting in the first quarter. "Our intent was to not run anything up, and we took steps to not disrespect our opponent," he said.

In a statement, Northeast Ohio College Prep said the school was "extremely proud of the camaraderie and sportsmanship that our team displayed during and after the game" before they congratulated Gilmour on the victory.
