From the “in case you missed it” files from Tuesday, the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame ballot was announced, and there is plenty of Pac-12 flavor. Here is the list of conference players on the ballot in alphabetical order: Steve Brown, Oregon State, linebacker Mark Carrier, USC, defensive back John Didion, Oregon State, center David Fulcher, ASU, defensive back Matt Leinart, USC, quarterback Jess Lewis, Oregon State, defensive tackle Ken Norton Jr., UCLA, linebacker Herb Orvis, Colorado, defensive end Ron Rivera, Cal, linebacker Rashaan Salaam, Colorado, tailback Dennis Thurman, USC, defensive back Mike Utley, Washington State, offensive guard Al Worley, Washington, defensive back Darryl Rogers, Arizona State, (Coach, 1980-1984)
Leinart and Salaam, a pair of Heisman Trophy winners, headline the group. But there are certainly some very notable names on the list from both sides of the ball. The 13 players and one coach listed above are part of 76 players and five coaches from the FBS level on the 2016 ballot. There are also 92 players and 27 coaches from the divisional ranks. The AP has this piece on the players on the ballot, and you can see the complete bios of all of the players and coaches here.
