Pac-12 offensive coordinator salary analysis

They always say you shouldn't try to be average, but being average as a Pac-12 coordinator might not be terrible considering the average pay for conference offensive coordinators is $416,538.

Chris Vannini of coachingsearch.com recently broke down the salaries for nine of the Pac-12 offensive coordinators and the state of Arizona picked up the highest and the lowest paid of the salaries Vannini was able to collect. (Note: Per usual, these kinds of statistics aren't available for Stanford or USC. Also, Washington State doesn't technically have an offensive coordinator since Mike Leach runs the offense, so those numbers aren't listed either.)

Arizona State's Mike Norvell, 33, is not only the conference's youngest offensive coordinator but he's also the conference's highest paid offensive coordinator at $900,000. Arizona co-offensive coordinator Rod Smith came in at No. 9 with $290,000, but his counterpart, co-offensive coordinator Calvin Magee came in at $400,000.

The full list is available at coachingsearch.com, but we figured we'd take it one step further. We took the 2015 salaries and last season's win totals to see (if the season unfolds the exact same way, which, we know it won't) what the pay is per win. Which school would be getting the best value? Which coordinator brings home the most bacon per W?
