Speedy Noil back in good graces with Texas A&M

Star wide receiver Speedy Noil is back in the good graces with his Texas A&M football team, head coach Kevin Sumlin said Tuesday.

Noil, a rising sophomore, spent the latter part of spring practice away from the team for unspecified reasons, but Sumlin said during Tuesday's SEC Western Division coaches' teleconference that Noil will return to the team and take part in workouts and team activities once he gets back from A&M's short break from classes.

"He has done the things that we've asked him to do and satisfied those types of things that I've asked him to do," Sumlin said. "During that time he wasn't with us, but now that he's completed that, he's back with us."

That's certainly good news for the Aggies. Noil was one of the SEC's most electric players to watch, both on offense and special teams last season. He registered 583 yards and five touchdowns on 46 catches, but also recorded 825 return yards on punts and kickoffs. Noil led the Aggies with 1,418 all-purpose yards.

Noil should see an increased role in A&M's offense this, especially with Malcome Kennedy, who led the Aggies with 53 catches last season, gone.
