Remembering Steph Curry's goofy college cafeteria rap

You know when an old friend likes one of your really embarrassing 6-year-old Facebook photos, causing it to resurface across your friends' news feeds and submit you to another wave of humiliation?

This is kind of like that.

On Wednesday, New York Times writer Benjamin Hoffman dug up a 2009 YouTube video of Stephen Curry rapping about the cafeteria at Davidson College, where the reigning NBA MVP was still a student.

It's goofy and awful, but also oddly endearing -- like the best college memories are.

In case you needed proof it was 2009, that's Asher Roth's "I Love College" they're parodying.

Hoffman also caught up with Curry's college friends and the video's co-creators, who insisted he wasn't roped in for his name recognition and was actually really dedicated to making the video, despite sounding a little bit like a robot programmed to rhyme.
