          Packers may let Jamari Lattimore walk

          GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers have already let two inside linebackers from last season go and are prepared to let another one walk.

          After cutting both Brad Jones and A.J. Hawk last month, the Packers could lose Jamari Lattimore in free agency.

          He is visiting the New York Jets on Wednesday, the team announced.

          Lattimore started five games early in the season after Jones dropped out with an injury but when defensive coordinator Dom Capers and coach Mike McCarthy revamped their linebacker position at the bye week, moving Clay Matthews from the outside and increasing Sam Barrington's role, Lattimore dropped out of the rotation.

          After that, Lattimore appeared in just three more games, playing only on special teams, before an ankle injury in the Nov. 30 game against the New England Patriots ended his season.

          Lattimore, who originally made the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2011, played last season under a one-year, $1.431 million contract as a restricted free agent.
