A quick look at Don Muhlbach's 2015 contract

Long snapper Don Muhlbach was the first Detroit Lions free agent to rejoin the team for the 2015 season -- although technically, Darryl Tapp agreed to a deal first -- and details of his contract are now out.

Muhlbach signed a one-year deal worth $970,000 in base salary, along with an $80,000 signing bonus. His cap number, which is the important one for the Lions this season, comes in at $665,000. These numbers are courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information.

According to Spotrac, Muhlbach made $5,780,000 in cash from 2007 until the end of last season.

Muhlbach is one of the better long snappers in the NFL and has been Detroit's snapper since the middle of the 2004 season. He played college football at Texas A&M.
