Georgia Southern evokes 'The Walking Dead' as it prepares for a trip to Atlanta

Georgia Southern football isn't afraid of much.

The Statesboro, Georgia, school was a longtime FCS powerhouse that won six national championships at that level and even knocked off the Florida Gators at The Swamp last fall. So a few zombies? Child's play.

The Eagles are in their first year as an FBS program and will visit their second ACC school of the season Saturday, after a narrow 24-23 loss at NC State in the opener. This week's opponent? Georgia Tech. The location? Atlanta.

So in honor of AMC's popular zombie apocalypse TV show, "The Walking Dead" (which is set in that city and throughout Georgia), GSU director of player personnel Vic Cabral (@Coach_Cab) used his Photoshop skills to create a pic that mirrors the show's most iconic image. But instead of Sheriff Rick Grimes fearlessly riding his horse into downtown Atlanta, it's the Georgia Southern team buses rolling into town to face the Yellow Jackets.

Well done, Eagles. Well done.
