Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson inactive

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who spent the week battling knee issues, won’t play for the Detroit Lions against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, officially being named inactive.

In an attempt to break a 22-game losing streak, Detroit is going to be without its biggest playmaker.

Detroit is now without its top two wide receivers as he and Nate Burleson won’t play Sunday.

Johnson led Detroit with 21 catches for 312 yards and four touchdowns. On Thursday, Johnson declined to talk about his injury. He didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday this week.

Look for the Lions to use Ryan Broyles, Kris Durham, Pat Edwards" target="_blank">Patrick Edwards and possibly even new wide receiver Kevin Ogletree in his place.
