ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush said he practiced fully Wednesday, the first time he has done so since injuring his left knee against the Arizona Cardinals during the second game of the season.
Bush did not play in last Sunday's 27-20 win over Washington after missing two days of practice and being limited on Friday.
The injury was not an issue Wednesday, and Bush repeated that he anticipates playing against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. He practices with a light brace -- almost like a sleeve -- on his knee.
"It was good [to get back out there]," Bush said. "I feel like it's been forever but it's only been a week. It was good to get back in there today. Just get back into the swing of things, get my feet back underneath me and start to lay out this foundation getting ready for the Chicago Bears."
With Bush out, reserve running back Mikel Leshoure was active Sunday for the first time this season, but he was one of two Lions (along with backup quarterback Shaun Hill) to not play against Washington.
Leshoure deemed his role with Detroit, essentially not a role at all other than being an emergency player, "a little frustrating."
"I feel like I could have a better role, definitely," Leshoure said. "Am I upset? It's a little frustrating, like I said before, because I know I could help. But that type of stuff is out of my hands.
"I'm sure they know I want to play. Other than that, I'm not going to sit here and be in their office every day. That's not the type of player I am."
Leshoure, a second-round draft pick in 2011, has denied saying he would be open to a trade. When asked again Wednesday if he'd be open to being dealt, Leshoure said simply that he wants to play.
"That's all -- I want to play," Leshoure said. "Like I said before, there's a lot of speculation because of the fact I'm not on the field, people just wondering what's going on. But I want to play. That's it."
