Locker Room Buzz: Detroit Lions

CLEVELAND -- Observed in the locker room after the Detroit Lions' 31-17 victory against the Cleveland Browns:

Hip, Hop, Hooray: Running back Joique Bell wore a black "Hip, Hop, Hooray" T-shirt after the game, with the words stenciled in front of a background of him doing his touchdown celebration at Ford Field.

Of more importance was his rib injury. He said he got bent back on a run play in the fourth quarter and a rib popped out.

“I stayed in for another play and tried to play through it,” Bell said before laughing heavily.

Good news for him -- Bell said X-rays were negative.

Decisions, decisions: Tight end Joseph Fauria, who caught three touchdowns Sunday, perhaps had his biggest decision with what to wear into the postgame news conference. He reportedly ended up wearing a Lions shirt.

Johnson icing: Calvin Johnson, who did not speak with the media after the game, left the locker room walking to the Detroit bus with a large ice pack on his right knee.

Mathis seems fine: Cornerback Rashean Mathis said after the game that his groin injury was restricting his movement when he tested it, so he didn't return.
