Mel Kiper Jr. regrades Lions' 2014 draft

If you've spent a bunch of time around here the last month or so, you know my opinion of the Detroit Lions' 2014 draft.

There's still potential there, especially with Eric Ebron, Travis Swanson and Larry Webster, but it was a pretty weak initial draft for the Lions, who had a strong 2013 class. Since that time, Swanson has essentially become a starter with Dominic Raiola not returning and much will be expected of Ebron, Kyle Van Noy and possibly Webster at defensive end.

Meanwhile, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. also wasn't high on Detroit's draft in May immediately after the selections with a B- grade. He's down on the picks a little bit more now, also going in hard on Detroit's selection of since-cut kicker Nate Freese.
