Practice Report: Bush not in attendance

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush was not in attendance at practice Wednesday after injuring his left knee in a 25-21 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

On Monday, Detroit coach Jim Schwartz said Bush's injury was not expected to be a long-term issue, but would not give a diagnosis beyond that.

The Lions' starting running back was one of five players who were not at practice Wednesday, joining safety Louis Delmas (knee), receiver Patrick Edwards (ankle), right tackle Jason Fox (groin) and safety Don Carey (hamstring).

Defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who missed Sunday's game with a shoulder injury, was at practice and participated in some drills.

Bush is scheduled to speak after practice Wednesday.
