Ledecky sets record, earns four golds

American women dominated in the pool and on the greens, earning top billing in this week's rankings. U.S. swimmers Katie Ledecky and Missy Franklin took the world championships by storm, combining for 10 gold medals -- including two world records for Ledecky. Stacy Lewis cemented her place among the top three in the LPGA after becoming the first American to win the Women's British Open since 2006.

Tiger Woods nabbed the No. 4 spot for conquering the Bridgestone Invitational for a record eighth time, while Francisco Liriano landed the fifth position for controlling his slider and the Rockies' lineup in a big win for the Pirates.
