Baltimore Ravens tight end Ed Dickson strained his hamstring and was removed from Sunday's practice.
Dickson's injury came eight days after the Ravens lost Dennis Pitta to a season-ending hip injury, putting Dickson atop the depth chart at the position.
Coach John Harbaugh downplayed the injury, saying Dickson could miss about a week.
"We're going to hold him back for a week or so, and we'll see where we're at," Harbaugh said after Monday's practice. "We'll try to get him healthy. It's going to be a matter of time, but it's not going to be a long time."
Visanthe Shiancoe, who signed as a free agent after Pitta's injury, worked with the first team in Dickson's absence.
