Locker Room Buzz: Detroit Lions

DETROIT -- Observed in the locker room after the Detroit Lions34-24 win over Minnesota.

Bush beat up: Reggie Bush had some black tape on his left thumb, which was dislocated in the first quarter Sunday. “It was facing the wrong direction. They just popped it back in,” said Bush, who also pulled his groin in the first quarter.

Warford not nervous: Earlier in the week, rookie right guard Larry Warford said he felt he would be nervous heading into his first game. By the end of the week, though, he said that was all gone. So much so, he didn’t know how many hours he slept Saturday night, only that he slept well.

Ansah’s necklace: Rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah, who had three tackles, a half-sack and a quarterback hurry in his debut Sunday, was wearing a long, multicolored necklace as he spoke with reporters. Asked where he got it, he said his mother brought it to him from Ghana.

Fauria’s dance: After he scored his first career touchdown in his first NFL game, Joseph Fauria started dancing. Where did it come from? Fauria insisted there was no planning involved in his celebration. “It just happened,” he said.
